Moon Tales privacy policy

Moon Tales is made for children aged 5 to 7 and read with a grown-up. This page explains, in full, what the app does with information. You can read it without an internet connection.

What stays on this device

The hero's name, character and form, your progress, the choices you make, the ending you reach and the conversation questions you are shown are saved only in this app, on this device. They are never sent to Moon Tales, to a cloud service or to an app store. There is no account and no online profile.

How the information is used

It is used only to continue the story where you stopped and to say the hero's name in the story. Choices are not scored, ranked or compared, and nothing is used for advertising. The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no session recording.

Technical diagnostics

This version of the app does not collect or send diagnostics or crash reports, and it has no diagnostics setting. If a later version adds optional anonymous crash reports, they will only describe a technical fault and will never contain a name, story text, scene, choice, ending or question. This page and the store information will be updated before that happens.

Internet use

The app connects to the internet only to fetch the public list of stories and to download story packages, always over HTTPS. These requests do not include the hero's name, progress or choices. As with any internet connection, the server and your network provider can see technical details such as your IP address. Reading stories already on the device needs no connection.

Purchases

This version has nothing to buy. If paid stories are added later, the purchase will be handled by Google Play, which processes payment and approval. Moon Tales never receives card or payment details, and a purchase is kept separate from the hero and story progress.

Backups and recent apps

Android backup and device-to-device transfer are switched off for this app, so the hero and progress are not copied elsewhere. In the recent-apps view the app's picture is hidden, so the name and story scene are not shown.

Deleting information

In Settings, “Delete all local data” removes all progress, heroes, choices, preferences and downloaded stories from this device. The story included with the app stays. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android settings also removes everything. Because there is no account or cloud backup, deleted information cannot be recovered.
